GOVERNMENT SCHEMES TO HELP REDUCE FEES
Local Authority Grant for younger children
If your child is under 5 on 1 September, 1 January or 1 April, for the term beginning in that month you may choose to take advantage of a Local Authority Grant (otherwise known as the Minimum Funding Entitlement or Nursery Education Grant) paid by the local authority to the school. This is attributed to a statutory maximum of 15 hours’ early years education per week. To cover contracted hours in excess of this statutory maximum, parents in receipt of the grant pay the difference between the amount of the grant and the school fees where the grant does not apply.
As an example, the grant for the Autumn Term 2024 will be £1,367.01, but the value of the grant varies each term depending on the annual rate set by the Local Authority and the number of days in the term. As a service for parents, we intend to continue to participate in this scheme for as long as possible, but this is not guaranteed: the regulatory complexity and administrative burden for the school increases periodically and therefore may become untenable.
Childcare vouchers and Tax-free childcare
The school accepts most companies’ childcare vouchers. It also accepts payments under the government’s tax-free childcare scheme.
Sibling Discount
Eligibility:
- The Sibling Discount is applicable to siblings accepted as full fee-paying pupils.
- Siblings must meet all standard admission criteria.
Discount Details:
- When two children from the same family are enrolled, a 10% discount will be applied to the tuition fees of the younger child.
- For families with two or more children attending the school, a 5% discount will apply to the tuition fees of the youngest (third) child and a 5% discount to subsequent children.
- The discount will be automatically deducted from the termly invoice.
Application:
- The discount will be applied based on each sibling’s year of enrolment.
- The entitlement to the sibling discount will continue as long as there are siblings enrolled in the school simultaneously. The school will not continue to offer the sibling discount if the pupil becomes the only child left in the school.
