Teaching Biography

Despina has a passion for fostering a love of learning and creativity in her students. With experience in primary education, music teaching and dance, she brings a diverse skill set to her teaching. Despina has worked as a music teacher at independent preparatory schools since 2019, sharing her enthusiasm for music and movement with her students. She is committed to professional growth, having acquired the NPQLT qualification, and is currently completing the Dalcroze Teacher Certificate. She has a wealth of experience helping students to achieve distinction in ABRSM exams and secure music scholarships at 11+. As the Head of Arts and Head of Music at Bassett House, Despina strives to cultivate artistic excellence, offering students a wide variety of multi-disciplinary events and practices.
